Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning can help in keeping blood glucose levels low or at least help in preventing a great deal of complications associated with diabetes that can have damaging results. These complications can range from damaging the eyes, kidneys and nerves to cause amputations. According to a clinical study published in the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence has shown to significantly reduce hypoglycemic events improving blood glucose levels (people with diabetes suffered 10.7 percent fewer hypoglycemic events and showed a 3.5 percent drop in blood glucose). By using sophisticated algorithms, changes in blood glucose levels can be monitored to check responses to various factors such as diet, exercise, medication or insulin.
